UNCLOSTED MEDIA
Uncloseted Media will investigate and expose America’s anti-LGBTQ ecosystem, with an emphasis on under covered areas like red and rural states, the Midwest and the Bible Belt. Unlike other LGBTQ publications, Uncloseted will drill deeper to expose hate through rigorous, investigative journalism. And unlike some mainstream publications, we will be an independent voice committed to nonpartisan, evidence-based storytelling that gets to the truth.

We are hard at work developing dozens of stories. From election coverage about Project 2025 to investigations inside America’s homeschooling movement, stories at Uncloseted will be diverse in what they cover, but everything we publish will share a common mission: to provide you with objective, nonpartisan, rigorous, original journalism. By elevating voices of everyday American heroes and not shying away from hard conversations about America’s anti-LGBTQ landscape, our mission is to be the go-to source for investigative coverage of topics relevant to the LGBTQ community within the United States.
These stories all share the same core principles of Uncloseted: a commitment to objective journalism where balance is rooted in the survey of methodologically sound, evidence-based research. It’s nonpartisan; it’s fewer talking heads and more data-driven storytelling inspired by the science(!) of journalism that has kept healthy democracies afloat for centuries.

What makes Uncloseted stand out are the people you will meet in these stories. Americans from all 50 states that have stories to share. They connect the macro stories to the micro, human experience.
